HOERBIGER sells Automation Technology Division to HAWE Hydraulik
The Automation Technology Business Division currently produces a highly diversified hydraulics portfolio for various markets, predominantly in small quantities and with a high degree of customer-specific customization. Due to this complex setup, it is difficult within the HOERBIGER Group to create the structural prerequisites for sustainable growth and long-term stability for the business division. After thorough examination and consideration of all options for action, HOERBIGER has therefore decided to transfer the business division to a new owner with a focus on the hydraulics business.
In the owner-managed company HAWE Hydraulik, a buyer was found who knows the industry very well and who can offer the Automation Technology Business Division global market access in industrial and mobile hydraulics through a worldwide sales and service network: "We are convinced that this is the best solution for our Automation Technology Business Division. Our products ideally complement the HAWE portfolio and under the umbrella of HAWE Hydraulik we can fully leverage our know-how and innovative strength," says Reinhold Kraus, Head of the Automation Technology Business Unit.
HAWE Hydraulik will take over the Automation Technology business unit effective May 1, 2019, with all employees and the management team being retained. This ensures a smooth transition in supplying and supporting customers and means continuity for all contacts. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
