First round of FASTTRACK program ends

Start-Ups present the results of their projects

In January, HOERBIGER Antriebstechnik GmbH launched an Accelerator Program - a support program for start-up companies - together with the Hirschvogel Automotive Group and the Max Aicher Group.

To open up our thinking and actions even further to new ideas, we looked for young start-up companies that were involved in developments of importance to our business. Together with our three favorites, we worked on innovation projects in the Drive Technology division for a total of three months. The teams worked on an innovative camera system for quality assurance, actuator technology for commercial vehicles and new surface technologies for louvers. The young companies were able to test the application of their idea in a real environment and further develop their product. Thanks to intensive and constructive cooperation, they achieved valuable results after only a short time.

On June 18, the start-ups presented their projects at a demo day in Landsberg. This marked the end of the first phase of the FASTTRACK program, but the projects with the start-ups can be extended if there is interest. A new round of the accelerator program will start in the fall.

About FASTTRACK

From a total of 364 young companies in the initial selection, 19 start-ups made it to the Pitch Days, which took place in January. Nine selected founders ultimately worked together with Hirschvogel, HOERBIGER and Max Aicher in twelve projects.

The young companies benefit from our many years of experience, technical know-how and entrepreneurial infrastructure. For the Drive Technology division, the start-ups' new perspective on future mobility is significant. We want to gain innovative ideas, break away from fixed thought patterns and get to know the young companies' creative ways of thinking and methods. Working with start-ups is a very good opportunity to develop innovative concepts, learn about new areas of business and develop them.
